Description
This interesting Maasai man is wearing a traditional red shuka with a white muslim cap. The artist met him at an elder initiation ceremony near Mount Meru. Having drunk copious amounts of millet beer, the man became very talkative and friendly. Bennett was impressed at how clean and healthy his skin was. He has painted him using bright colors in reflection of the liveliness of the ceremony.
